Join April 28th Online Forum on Tax Fairness, Public Services and the Election
Apr 27, 2011
As Canadians prepare to cast their ballots on May 2nd for the candidate of their choice, activists with the All Together Now! campaign want to help them make an informed choice.
Concerned that there has been too much rhetoric and not enough substance on issues around tax fairness and public services, campaign supporters have organized a series of panels and forums across the country.
On the evening of April 28th, 6:30 – 7:30 pm (Eastern time) a national interactive forum is being held online.
The forum is being hosted by Ottawa Citizen journalist Susan Riley and guest economist David Macdonald from the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives.
“The Prime Minister has severely limited the number of questions he’ll answer from the media and the public,” said James Clancy, national president of the 340,000-member National Union of Public and General Employees (NUPGE).
“Our members, and Canadians in general, want to hear answers to their questions and concerns. They’re looking for a real discussion of issues like tax fairness and public services.”
To watch the forum go to http://alltogethernow.nupge.ca.
People are encouraged to submit their questions by posting to the wall of the town hall Facebook page (click here) or the All Together Now Facebook page (click here).
Alternately they can email us your question to this address: alltogethernow@nupge.ca or you can tweet us a question @ATNcampaign and use #all2gether.
