  The Metis Child and Family Services Authority - Local 394 who work to strengthen the capacity of Metis families to care for children through culturally relevant community-based programs, ratified a new four-year agreement yesterday.

• Jul 31, 2023 - MGEU Members at Teranet Manitoba Increase Strike Activity
  

  MGEU members at Teranet Manitoba (MGEU Locals 397/399) ratcheted up strike activities on Monday, July 31, 2023 in an effort to encourage their employer to get back to the bargaining table with a reasonable offer.

  On Thursday, July 27, MGEU members at Manitoba Public Insurance (MPI) received a final offer from their employer which fails to provide increases that would allow MPI workers to keep pace with rising inflation.

  Over 1,400 MGEU liquor workers (Locals 56-61) are on strike and calling on Premier Stefanson and her government to lift their unfair wage mandate for public workers.

• Jul 24, 2023 - MGEU President Addresses Truth about Provincial Wage Mandates and Escalating Strike Action
  

  Earlier today, MGEU President Kyle Ross provided an update on the status of negotiations and escalating strike action at Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries (MBLL). “It’s become clear that the Stefanson Government’s wage mandate is flexible. But only for some folks. Folks like the Premier, Cabinet, doctors and typically those making six figures. For front line workers, 2 percent is as good as it gets,” Ross said. "So, the issue isn’t that the provincial government isn’t involved. The issue is how they are involving themselves by imposing a wage mandate that is out of touch with reality."

  Members of Manitoba Possible - Local 262, who provide services to Manitobans with disabilities, their families, and communities, ratified a new three-year collective agreement last night.

• Jul 18, 2023 - Open letter to Premier Stefanson: Lift Provincial Wage Mandate, Fix Public Services
  

  On behalf of MGEU members currently in negotiations, I am calling on you to reconsider your government’s restrictive wage mandate. Otherwise, promises to start fixing Manitoba’s public services will be empty and meaningless. And given that provincial public employers clearly have little room to bargain meaningfully, I respectfully request a meeting with you so that we can have a real discussion with someone who can change the course of bargaining. - Kyle Ross, MGEU President

• Jul 14, 2023 - Technical Professional ratifies new agreement
  

  Members of the Technical Professional Locals 408, 409, 410, 411 and 420, including pharmacists, physiotherapists and occupational therapists, social workers, and other health care professionals working throughout Manitoba's Interlake and Parkland regions, ratified a new collective agreement today.
