In January 2016, the Minister of Labour announced the formation of another legislative WCB review committee made up of both business and labour representatives. The MGEU made a written submission to the Legislative Review Committee, outlining a series of recommendations that the union feels would significantly improve the Act.

Migrant Workers Didn't Have Much Choice
Barely two years ago, the unionization of migrant Mexican farm workers in Manitoba was hailed as a victory for the labour movement. This was the first time a group from this sector had ever been unionized – at least in Canada – and was believed to not only improve their working conditions but to open the door to further gains in this industry.
